Mrs. Ann Ross, Athletic Director
Venice Christian School is proud to offer an extensive extracurricular athletic program for it's middle school students. The mission of the Venice Christian School Athletic Program is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ in and through our abilities and attitudes, that we might show forth the fruit of the spirit in the midst of the competitive nature of sport.
We participate in the Gulf Coast League that serves most of the private schools in the Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte County area. The league has 17 member schools and provides tournaments at the end of each season.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."

All 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are eligible to tryout for middle school athletic teams.
All teams practice after school at various local locations. Practices are typically from 2:45-4:30 p.m. and occur 3-5 times per week.
The VCS bus is used to bring children to practices and home games. The bus also transports students to and from away games.
To cover the expense of coaches' fees, referee fees, gym fees, equipment upkeep and transportation costs, we charge an Athletic Participation Fee of $75 for gym-related sports and $60 for all other sports. This is billed to your statement AFTER your child has been named to a team.
Uniforms are provided and are the property of VCS. You will be expected to care for them and return them in good condition.
