Computer literacy is essential for all of our children as they prepare for higher learning and the workplace. Despite what your child may tell you, playing computer games does not make them a computer expert! In grades 2-4 we start our students on the path to computer mastery by focusing on the basics; introduction to the various parts of a computer and standard menu bar functions, proper filing, basic word processing and typing skills games.In grades 5-7 we focus on more advanced techniques, from intermediate word processing, spreadsheet functions and presentation software, to video editing, web page design, online content management and 3d modeling and animation.
Our tests focus on fundamental computing concepts and terms, those that will likely survive the blistering pace of change in the computer industry.
